Workplace Violence and aggression (WVA), particularly in cognitively impaired older Australians, can happen quickly and unexpectedly. Every staff member should feel safe in the workplace. Therefore, it is vital to recognise and remember what constitutes a WVA incident, how to enact critical incident procedures, how to diffuse potential WA situations from developing and what to do immediately after an incident.
